Your favourite War movie

Just flipped on The Thin Red Line on RTE2. Wan't hugely impressed with it the first few times but it's growing on me with age, some cast too.

But for all that and as sanitised as some of my suggestions are, due to their influence on me at a certain age, the following would be in my Top 5:

The Longest Day
Battle of Britain
Hambuger Hill
Casualties of War
Full Metal Jacket

and a shout too Escape to Victory because of the players on show and 'Victoire, Victoire, Victoire....' )

Good movie has to be said.

Saving Private Ryan was great to. Especially the opening scene.
