Why exactly do Cork people hate Dublin people?

I don't hate Jackeens at all despite the fact that as an 18 yr old civil servant they used to repetitively say that all we culchies had red necks from our parents slapping us on the backs of our necks and shouting: get up to Dublin and get a job!

i cant believe I just read all of this thread, the best part was about the visit to Scotland ffs. Lads the shopping is way better in Dublin, and I like the buzz there myself. But arent we all supposed to be picking on Kerryman ???

never really liked dublin when I was younger but grew to like it.......geat craic with the dublin lads after the all-ireland semi and I must admit they were gracious in defeat....I think the perception that Dublin gets the bulk of investment and that down the country is populated by culchies prob has a lot to do with a dislike of the dubs!

Plus ye bastards get a lot more snow than us!!!

I lived there for more than a year and I enjoyed it but Dubs seem to be one extreme or the other. Up there own ass D4 heads or utter scumbags. The older generation of Dubs seem to be alright, its the Celtic tiger cubs that really fuck it up for the rest of them.
