What video games are you playing / looking forward to?

I would love to see more single player games that are of the same standard of Dead Space. I think developers tend to focus on multiplayer elements to much and forget about single player.

Its funny though I cant plany Dead Space if my wife is in the room it scares her too much!

Dead Space 2 is amazing.

This is going to be the best ever year for gaming:

Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim
Mass Effect 3 (orgasm)
LA Noire
Gears Of War 3
Last Guardian
Bulletstorm
Dragon Age 2
New Zelda
Battlefield 3

So much great stuff coming out

Maximum Reppage.

Fucking sick of endless FPS and fifa updates. Single player games are often ignored in favour multiplayer titles such as the quite frankly shit call of duty series.

I'd to stop playing dead space at one point and go out for a fag cause my nerves were shot.

I'm looking forward to these the most and also the new tomb raider reboot looks like its going to be savage

I want to buy Crysis 2 but I kind of want to finish Crysis 1 first, the thing is I still don't have a computer strong enough to do it justice, and I'm not buying a computer for one game.

Also, I am going to get around to playing Enslaved.
Its just that I play games in order
- First person shooters
- Third person shooters
- God of war clones
- Vehicle based games
- Strategy games
- RPG's

And if I get a new game one rung up the ladder the current game I'm playing can just damn well wait til I get to it.

Final Fantasy XIII has only seen 5 hours of my time, and I respect Japanese games cause they're the only culture that don't create shitty wacky Irish stereotypes in their games.

Playing Gran Turismo 5 at the moment
Have Unchartered 2 to start yet, bought it second hand a few weeks back for 15 euro. I think from now on unless I really really want the game I'm not buying a game as it is released.
Really looking forward to Elder scrolls 5 and Mortal Kombat

playing a few of the borderland dlcs at the moment. looking forward to portal 2. also looking forward to final fantasy xiii 2, though that probably isn't out for ages.

must pick up dead space 2 soon. haven't played the first one yet though.

I'm swapping between Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 at the moment, both of which are quite literally excellent games! I think it will be Black Ops tonight.
Only thing I'm looking forward to is the next gen PSP, doesnt look too bad to be honest, not going to be released til the end of the year so plenty of time to start saving the pennies!

repped.

It's been a gradual erosion over the decades. orig fps like doom, quake, wolfenstein, duke, unreal etc etc ... gave great single play fps(doom3 wasn't bad either).

developers realised that to much development time and testing was needed for single play so started to concentrate on multi experience as there was more play time in that mode. single play became a token effort (cite black ops as an example)

i blame unreal tournament for starting the trend.

This is going to be that game of the year if you ask me:

L.A. Noire

Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps is an LAPD detective thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what’s right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.
Using groundbreaking new animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.
