Oh I hate when that happensWatched The Boy That never was. Quite good up to the last episode where it completely descended into something ridiculous and unrealistic. Very disappointed. Sloppy lazy ending. Ruined the whole series which was very watchable up to that point.
Went from 8/10 and plummeted to 1/10
Definitely. Such a downer lol.Oh I hate when that happens
Was it very violent? As in gory violent. Saw the trailer of it and thought it might be a bit sickening. Yellowstone's first few episodes had a few gory bits but then it was alright.Just finished Americal Primeval. Wasn't bad, but expected a bit more from it. Felt kind of like a Bone Tomahawk lite, but at 6 episodes, it wasn't a huge investment in time. Worth it if you like westerns.
It was amazing. I think one of the really impressive things was the production; it was really authentic 80s USSR. A friend of mine is from Belarus and she was saying that it was eerily good. I can't remember what it was, but there was one fairly humdrum household item that absolutely everybody had and they were shite at whatever it was, but it was the only model available. They went from ubiquitous to entirely absent in no time, it made her both laugh and cry.Late to the table as usual but started Chernobyl last night. 1 hour episodes of misery so far! Looks like it will be a tough enough watch, but all I remember are really good reviews
The one thing about the production I find really odd is the accents - why in gods name do all of the actors speak in polished english accents? No need for it to be in Russian or for them to have gone full Borat, but if you closed your eyes and ignored the content it could be Notting Hill.It was amazing. Actually, that would be a great thread.
What about the English lads who dug the tunnel bollocks naked? Was that authentic? It was amazing. I think one of the really impressive things was the production; it was really authentic 80s USSR.
