just finished up watching “barry” on max. first two and a bit seasons were excellent but it jumped off a cliff after that. season four was complete shit. it’s a pity because some of the comedy was excellent. fuchs is a brilliant character but NoHo Hank is one of the funniest i’ve ever seen and kept it ticking over to the end.

yeah, it just got to a point where none of the characters had road left
but they just dragged it out for
worse rather than better.

i’ll give it to hader, he played his character to a t and the episodes he directed were excellent.

his character seemed like a capable, assassinating mr.bean more often than not.

ah, as a comedy it couldn’t bog itself
down in the anatomy of a crime scene. the taekwondo scene was
just absurdist comedy and
served the show well. i laughed my bollocks off on that.

there were just other parts where you’d be thinking “m8s, ye’ve suspended reality. keep going!”

all in all, the fonz nailed the part. he’s got a cool voice even if he doesn’t look the part anymore.

Watched Ep1. Eddie Redmayne's scenes were excellent.

The MI6 wans story was plodding.


I watched the original movie adap a few months ago. Great show. Edward Fox brilliant as The Jackal. 90% of the movie was about him

Didn't dwell on the law enforcement backstory and all the better for it.

I don't think anyone wished we found out if the French cop hunting him made the parent teacher meeting or not lol

Must look at the original when I've finished this.

Anna Maxwell Martin should win every award going for her performance in that.
