Haven't read the Flashman Papers in coming up to a decade, and I'm getting a hankering for them. Best series I've ever read. It takes me the best part of a year to get through them all. I'm a worryingly slow reader.

I used to read James Patterson and Harlen Coban in a day. My Mam had them in the house so I'd just run through them. Can't read nawthin these days. It's so frustrating

I find I only read during my "between" times, like when I'm on lunch or on the bus. I hardly ever take an hour or two to read anymore.

I’m reading “How Jesus became God” by Bart Erhman at the moment. It is interesting, especially his explanation of the chronology of the synoptic gospels and their respective development along side Paul’s writings as well as insight into to fist century Judean culture and Roman rule but he gets too caught up in episodes like whether or not people saw an empty tomb. He speaks better than he writes but it is not a bad read outside of a few convoluted chapters.

I bought it recently,not got around to it yet,supposed to be a good read....on books about the Northern Irish Troubles, have you read Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe?

Read it a few weeks ago. It was excellent.

Raden Keefe is an outstanding writer. I picked up "Empire Of Pain" after a few recommendations on here.
