Tip can driver?

Yes I almost always tip both at restaurants and taxis. Once ever refused to tip in a restaurant and when I was confronted about it (it was in the US) I explained that the service was downright appalling. I'd usually tip the taxi driver between 5 and 10 per cent depending on what way the change was working out.

I usually tip my hat when I arrive at my destination in one piece.

The biggest crooks are the local (hoods) taxi drivers. "Oh so you live out foreign do ya" - translates as - "you've probably got money and it's my right to rip you off today".

I get off the plane in the airport, put my cases into the boot of the taxi, sit into the passenger seat and when your man starts pulling out I say: "Just up to the business park here, I parked my car there when I left."

It drives them bananas but then at the airport hotel I always give in and tell them my true destination
