Absolutely. Even if he takes that much time to consider it then I would probably walk away from it. Not to be stubborn, but mostly because it’s likely he would find it hard to settle and probably want back to Spain after half a season or more.

If the player wants to come then it has to come from himself and he shouldn’t require that much talking round. He is definitely a homebird. I can see him staying put.

Interesting to see Gravenberch used there, a position he did well in at Ajax. He is good on the half turn so moves the ball well under pressure. His passing range wouldn’t be fantastic but if he can knit it together nicely there may be a future for him there.

A lot will depend on how things pan out with Zubimendi. The performance in general was fairly decent. Scoreline maybe isn’t too reflective of the game but it was fairly good overall.
