The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Mentally fragile Liverpool fall apart after Amad dumps them out of the cup.

Remember the Cork Scousers telling us this bum was actually good

Some man to stat pad a third against Forest or Brentford. Crunch games or decent opposition, falls apart.

:lol!:

Agreed unfortunately. Good lad to score a couple in a hammering but in general not clinical enough in the important moments.

There’s been a few false dawns with him and he’s definitely contributed well and scored some important goals but I don’t think he’s reliable enough.

Against a low block his touch and hold up play is very poor. He’d be better in a counter-attacking team but Liverpool’s fantastic habit of conceding first causes the opposition to drop deep and without space Nunez is shockingly poor.

Agree on the whole.

Needs to go up a level if he's going to be a big part of the post-Salah LFC attacking line-up.

Klopp should have kept his mouth shut until end of season regarding his resignation. The pressure mounted about a send off quadruple for Klopp who was being spoken about in same category as Alex Ferguson. Looks like a wish version right now.

Agreed. His link up play in tight spaces is very poor, especially when you compare it to Firmino. Gakpo is much better in that regard actually despite often looking a bit too languid but there is a time and a place for both. Nunez does still cause chaos but you need to have an end product on a consistent basis or else you’re more like Antonio than Haaland.

Need to get out of this blip, just for the sake of seeing out Klopp’s tenure on a strong note as much as anything. Atalanta Thurs might be an uphill task in terms of going through but just winning the game with a very positive performance might help to restore some confidence.
