Incidentally, there was an interview with Denis Leamy on off the ball last week, they probed on Carbery's loss of form, Leamy maintained he hasn't lost form, which is interesting.

Irish rugby is very, very lucky it adopted the structure it did when it went professional.

The IRFU last year made €5.9M and had €66M in cash reserves.

The professional game is broken in England, the clubs have combined liabilities of half a billion pounds and all bar 1 of the premiership teams are loss making:

A coach is always going to back his own player but Carbery certainly lost form last season and Munster were lucky Ben Healy and Jack Crowley could step up.

Carbery has veery opportunity now to work hard and get back into contention as he is well capable.
