The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Leinster's strength is helping build more strength. Last 2 games of URC are against Bulls and Lions, both in challenging conditions.
Here's the squad they're sending to South Africa.

Conor O’Tighearnaigh, Liam Molony and Fintan Gunne aren't even in the academy (despite the label in the graphic).

That is some display of strength. If they actually get anything out of it, it'll be some development tour. Half the squad under 23 and 7 19/20 year olds is nuts.

some result for Leinster with such an inexperienced side.

Only saw hihglights but a few mates watching said Prendergast looked comfortbale at this level which is very encouraging

The Waratahs are playing an 18 year old winger who has just been called uo to a wallabies training camp so if you good enough your old enough!

With sexton retiring in October we badly need the likes of Crowley at Munster and Prendergast at Leinster to step up as I don't believe either of the Byrne brothers are the future

Prendergast is the new media backed future No.10 hero and he seems to back it up with his great u20 form making that step up.

A few months ago it was Frawley

Then the Byrnes

Then Carbery (He is still young enough to turn this around but he probably is not physical enough/injury prone or vocal enough/backing himself?)

Could be Crowley and Prendergast competing at out-half slot for a long time.
