The official Cork court report thread.

Ah yes lets automatically blame the landlords, if those in the house were not paying rent then the landlords were entitled to
evict them,
Any news on how the case played out? No issue with a landlord evicting anyone from a property if they were not paying rent. However you can't just come along and physically drag people out onto the street as is claimed.

I wonder were they "accidental landlords" completely ignorant of the much regulation that now surrounds the residential letting market? Why anybody would become a landlord in this day and age is beyond me and that's even before Himmler becomes minister for housing.

Tbf 2 sides
I decorate mostly rentals
And honestly the state most are left in( non students mostly I’m on about)
Some ppl are pigs,
Did a house in Faranree last summer fir a mate a landlord,
My second time doing up the while house,
It was blitzed,
He had to put in all new furniture,w floors etc,
He’d me up there 12 days filling n painting,
Plus a tiler , Chippie and a plumber,
Say it cost him e6/8 grand to turn it around
So 2 sides to every thing
And previous tenants were a young girl n boyfriend
One kid
One otw( Cork ppl)

My bro had a Nigerian family in a house near Lidl Togher,
And another African family in a house in Bandon- both families absolutely destroyed everything he put in,
All mattresses n bedding pissed to bits,
Leather sofas ( both houses) dumped
And floors ruined
