The Official Celtic Thread

He was very poor ok. Celtic weren't near the pace of the game first half. Improvement second half and overall were lucky to get a draw from it.
Celtic were well worth the point imo.

Hatate was again poor, as he was at stages at the weekend. But he improved and I was glad he stayed on.

Taylor was poor enough.

Engels needs to get used to playing more games. He's struggling at the moment. I get it's hard and possibly harder when the likes of Bernado is breathing down yer neck.

A really good point against a really good side.

I thought Hatate gave the ball away in vital area's three or four times. Could have cost them big time. Was it a game where Idah could have gotten more time. It was a sort of game where a cf that could hold up the ball was called for.

Celtic finally applied sustained pressure in the final quarter but IMO were very fortunate to take a point.

Bruges really surprised me, I see now why they beat Villa.

They created great chances but poor finishing - really missing the Brazilian sold to Brentford. They'll lose 5 or 6 b4 next season.

Hatate gave the ball away far too often. On another night, he could have been responsible for 3 goals conceded.

Engels being poor put Calmac under huge pressure.

I think Bernardo is a much better option in Europe.
Very tough call between Kyogo and Idah but good in different aspects.

Kasper was a great signing. Quality in every respect

Some really poor performances from some Celtic players
Taylor and Engels v poor
Hatate kept giving the ball away
These 3 aren't good enough for this level

Whoever was responsible for signing Kuhn should be shown the door. He's useless
Kuhn will surely go to EPL or maybe even back to Germany.
Club will bank a nice profit - the recruitment is looking very good.

I hear ya, I just think that Brugge weren't close to being clinical enouigh.

Yours is a balanced and fair enough take.

Although their goal was a shambles, i think they forced it... not that they deserved it... but they got a bit of good fortune.

By the same token, it took a low percentage chance for Celtic to get back in it. But at least we earned it.

I'm so used to seeing Celtic fall apart after conceding a shitey goal (and being completely pressed back), i think there's more credit due to Celtic for working their way back into it.

I hear what you are saying, I just think we deserved what we got out of the game despite not being at our best/not being allowed to be at our best.

Celtic's recent recruitment has been really good. Idah, Kuhn, Trusty, Valle, Johnston, Kasper - Rodgers is very confident that Engels will prove to be a very good player.

But I think I'd be starting with Idah and Bernardo instead of Kyogo and Hatate.

It's great to see the club getting results in the Cl again - they have bounced back very well from the Dortmund game.

5-0 HT
5-0 FT

Sensational stuff in the first half. Goals were flying in all over the place.

Didn't get going in the second half but still created plenty chance.

Idah trying his best to prove Barry K right by having a really good game. 1 goal... could have been more.

McCowan Motm was terrific. 1 goal and plenty assists.

2 different Irish scorers for Celtic in the same game for the first time since O'Dea and McGeady against the old Rangers at Hampden.

I'm really greedy... I wanted more.
