The Hurling Thread

Left way too much go throughout the game and decided to be a ref in last 20 mins.
Totally. He didn’t know what to do with the Thomas’s ‘chaos’ in the first half so just let it off… don’t think there was any card from the thrown hurley for the goal was there? then gave the softest of frees against the likes of Shane o Sullivan and a couple of others straight off puc outs.

Fintan Burke unreal on Kevin Mahony.
The 2 ballygunner goals absolute things of beauty.

Some game.

Johnny Murphy has always played for the draw, clearly likes a tight game, thats why the gaa love him so much. Stats back that up aswell, loads of extra times and replays on his record.

I thought he did ok, leaving so much go as it seemed to balance out and definitely contributed to a superb game. Perhaps the tighter pitch ( if in fact it was so) suited Thomas’s ultra physical/aggressive style more. Thurles would probably have been BGs choice for that very reason. Still, it was a cracker of a game from a neutral’s perspective.
