The Hurling Thread

We dont know the full circumstances, maybe he was advised to stop playing but his love for the game
saw him decide to carry on?

I've family experience of myocarditis.

If it was serious enough that he was out for months then he most likely had damage to his heart and a return to competitive sport greatly increased hid chances of cardiac arrest.

If I were his family I'd want an investigation into the cardiac specialist that passed him fit to train and play.

Jesus fucking Christ this is not the time or place for shit about whether he was cleared or not to play by doctors.

May he rest in peace, just a horrible time for all concerned. Poor lad.

Why?

I'd say its the exact time to be asking those questions.

There was a serious failure of duty of care here. Not examining what went wrong here will only allow it to happen to someone else.
