Lot of steps alright but hard to see from that camera angle if he was being pulled back and the ref was leaving advantage play out???
Doesn't matter, advantage is supposed to be called back if ball carrier fouls the ball.Lot of steps alright but hard to see from that camera angle if he was being pulled back and the ref was leaving advantage play out???
Whose favourites up in Tipp now? Thurles again?? Had a comfortable enough win against Nenagh earlier.
Ballyhale finally got their season up and motoring today in Kilkenny. After escaping relegation and now into the 1/4s. James Stephens could be facing the drop now.
I heard an interesting story about Graigue Ballycallan during the week. Their continously fighting relegation up in Kilkenny, they got in Declan Browne the ex Tipp footballer to manage them this year. They had a fine league campaign, finished 3rd I think and so had no relegation fears, they went out for a few drinks to celebrate and Browne resigned with immediate effect days from the 1st round of the championship as he was unhappy they had gone out. Beaten by 13 pts today anyway by Dicksboro.
There are a lot of city clubs struggling too. For a Barrs or Blackrock you have Delanys, Dillons and Mayfield.Jimmy
I have tried to highlight this. I was abroad for years and when I seen numbers falling in many places I would have played with or against it was worrying to see the numbers and clubs having to get together to try field underage teams. I thought it was funding and but I really don’t know the answer now.
What I don’t want is Midleton or Sars to become the huge clubs in east cork or City clubs to just grow. It’s killing the game and one thing I would wish for is give every player a free travel pass to get home to train with their club be it any grade and maybe the players will not move to different clubs or something.
I really don’t see this issue going away and it’s just sad to see
These things come in cycles, CSO figures show a big reduction in birth rates, As i posted in our estate there is a huge amount of 12/13 year oldsJimmy

Key is to be right in there in the schools with recruitment and coaching also. These things come in cycles, CSO figures show a big reduction in birth rates, As i posted in our estate there is a huge amount of 12/13 year olds
but very few 5/6 year olds, Id say this is replicated nationwide,
Our local school had only 17 new kids starting last month, There were years when that would be 30Key is to be right in there in the schools with recruitment and coaching also.
