The Hurling Thread

Interesting to see Dublin gone with a very low key appointment, Niall O'Ceallachain. Seems to be highly regarded on the club scene, maybe it's the right route for them following all the big name managers they've had

Cant think of anyone high profile out there that would take dublin. Limerick. Cork kk will always have their home grown candidates but the rest seem happy to do the banisteoir merry go around.

I thought Eddie Brennan would have been a great appointment for them. Did well with Loais and in Dublin with Cuala anyway so he’d have a good overview of the club scene there and what they have to work with

Apologies forgot tipp. In fairness pad joe was like 20 years ago. Dog and ja were a coup for lim. They were not county swingers like davy etc. No one will touch eddie not even rte. damaged himself with his insubordination rant on a radio show

NIall is hugely respected and has a deep knowledge of who is who. Is this the first time a club have the Manager of the Senior Hurlers and Senior Footballers in their ranks.

I dont think he is related to Sean Og O C "Go Mbeanna Dia Dhaoibh"
