Interesting article on the launch of GAA go from Richie hogan who feels that kk are best placed to bring down limerick and backing them to do it. Did he not see the 2nd half massacre up close and personal last July ?

Limerick man here personally he’s not wrong in that Kk will be very close. The make up is the Leinster championship means they’re almost guaranteed a semifinal at the minute. They’ve no issue playing in croker unlike cork and Clare. They’ve 6 players (Murphy lawlor butler tj cody and Mullen ) who are all stars in any given year. And the other 9 lads will maximise every last inch of their ability. And they will not be intimidated or timbered out of it. The final ran away from them but I couldn’t see any other team living with that 15 minute spell….they will rightly point out that a few crucial momentum swings happened during that spell….aunties and balls and all that I suppose.

Clare have a great team but they haven’t sorted their full back line and they frankly have an issue with playing kk esp in croker. Very close. I’d really rather not play them in a final
they’re the only other team with limk and kk who you can guarantee will turn up. No issues with work rate or physicality. Haven’t learned lessons on when to be dirty tho.

Tipp have talent. Don’t have the backs in my opinion. Issues with consistency…same for Galway. On paper should be far better than how they limped out but the writing was on the wall in that omnishambles of a Leinster final performance

Waterford god knows. Loads of talent. Zero consistency for the past 5 seasons. 17 and 20 deserved finalists. The other 3 years would give you nightmares if you like a blaaa

Cork…plenty of talent. Can anyone pick a 1-15. I’m living almost 2 decades in the county with kids who wear red jerseys so I see the cork hurlers regularly. The constant chopping and changing is the biggest issue. Ryan needs to pick and stick. In fact l really any version of the assorted options he has is a good team but he needs to get the spine solidified early and people need to almost be able to make mistakes to grow into roles. The 15 that played v Limerick plus the three injured guys is certainly good enough to get out of munster. The match v tipp was the killer though. Great that ye saved a draw but the performance that day was way too limp.

Limerick have our own challenges. Pressure of drive for 5 will be epic. There’s a lot of miles on legs and if we can blood a few younger lads to take some of the work load from some older lads I would be happier. Guys like aiden o brien adam english perhaps Jimmy quilty maybe could be additions but we can’t expect the same names to carry us over the line. Team needs to be kept fresh.

Jaysus lads can the season start already

Good summation. AI between Limerick, Cork and Kilkenny in 2024. Forget about Waterford not a hope.

He also spoke the other day about how the game is more suited to the little man now as opposed to when he started playing. Team selections would prove his theory wrong.
He's full of shit. Sees nothing only KK. LIMERICK opened them last July and he's trying to find excuses. There ain't any. The fact they got 5 all stars against Limerick 's 7 is just another travesty. It was one of the THE greatest 2nd half performances ever and he should have the good grace to admit it just like his red card in '19.
