The Hurling Thread

Kiely doesn't but Christmas has come early thanks to Clares stupidity
Limerick will snap up the tickets and will get to train at match venue in lead up to the final

After this Cork should never ever agree to play Clare in Limerick in any grade. They're practically saying its as good as a home match for them. Cork v clare at a neutral venue should always be Thurles. Or seeing as Cork is so far for them maybe they should just go back into Connacht as they were at one point in Irish history.

Clare have no interest in winning the Munster championship ( which explains why they haven’t won it for nearly 400 years.!!) its mind games now with them. They won’t be too disappointed at all losing to Lk in the Gaelic grounds, knowing there’s every chance they will be meeting again in CP later. Realistically they’re unlikely to beat Lk 3 times in the summer but 2 is very manageable. They’re lining up the 2 they want. It’s a combination of laziness and arrogance on Clare’s part. But they’re playing the long game.

If Clare want to be silly in conceding a neutral venue to limerick then fair enough, but agreed we shouldn't have Limerick as a neutral venue for any Cork v Clare match.

So they are deliberately opting for the Carlow/ Dublin route to a SF?

Hmmmm. Surely not.

I mean they could end up playing Limerick in a SF? If Tipp get by Galway /KK in a QF (assuming they beat Offaly in prelim..... 😁) it's a draw for the SFs?

Still better to win Munster and get straight to a SF.
