Great game in mcdonagh final, really enjoyed that. Noticable how it's maybe not as structured as Liam McCarthy level. Lads going for scores off line balls rather than playing short ones to retain possession
Great viewing.
Looked a lot less like rugby than the Liam McCarthy.

Like a throwback to days of yore. Long balls with each man expected to win his tussle with his immediate opponent.

The players didn't look like weight lifters either.
More and more I find myself enjoying games below the top level (underage inter County, club, McDonagh etc) as much if not more than the top games.
 
Delighted for carlow. No one gave them a chance. They went for goals from the get go. Agree with dinger about how more enjoyable these games are, very few rucks and may the highest score win. Michael duignan, Paul rouse, Michael Verney, Brian and Barry cowen, saint kieran of clonmacnoise, barak Obama, piers Morgan etc, your boys took one hell of a beating, one hell of a beating 😂
