The Hurling Thread

Nail on the head. Have been of the same view for years. Its a large part of the reason why Cork have struggled the past 20 years. The game has become like rugby, and we being traditionally the county most adept with regard skill, speed, flair, as opposed to just picking a load of 17 stone gym bunny's to flake the shite out of the opposition.
As I've said many times on PROC. Referees are directly to blame, but GAA upper authorities and RTE the main root cause as they have been driving the game this way for a long time.

Is this the same Cork that started Eoin Cadigan in an AI final two years ago.
1. He has the hurling skill of a cabbage
2. He has no speed
3. Flair, none unless he can do a Rick Flair impersonation
4. He is the quintessential gym bunny

He didn't break anyone's leg but did hit a guy who made a few smart remarks a few slaps. And a stamp and caught on security video. But limerick can manage all these incidents. Its their inherent aggression which Kiely can work with. Its Gillane.
