It had to happen really, some of the journalists had taken the piss trying to be the first to break the news. When stuff starting appearing on Examiner website before delegates had even left the meeting it was show overBoard delegates from Clubs can voice their own Concerns in Private without the Examiner Minions hanging on every word. This lads are volunteers . Brilliant Decision . I am sure if anyone here is involved with a club they will hear what happens in there anyway. The rest can cry into their soup with Leen and Co.
Who gives a flying fuck what the rest of Munster do. We have over 200 delegates , majority old lads who are retired and giving their Free time. Coming from all over Cork, let's not forget these fellas are attending Club Committee meetings also. These fellas have every right to have an open and frank discussion with the CCB without out Leens Minions tweeting from their perch. Supporters CCB, Clubs etc need to circle the wagons and fuck the rest. Of Course this will be a pile on now as all these Gaa Journos need to back each other for their little deluded Egos and everyone loves a dig at Cork. " Oh how dare they do this after building that stadium with Taxpayers money"https://www.echolive.ie/corksport/arid-41307631.html Some media not happy with Donovan stamping his authority.
It was worse than that considering the Eoghan Cormican article about a topic that was raised in the November meeting was on the Exminer website before it had even been brought up in the meeting. It had to happen really, some of the journalists had taken the piss trying to be the first to break the news. When stuff starting appearing on Examiner website before delegates had even left the meeting it was show over
Some don’t even bother their holes turning up. A guarantee of All Ireland tickets every year a nice attraction. How many of these club delegates ever speak at a board meeting. 25% max i would say.
The delegate is representing the club and as such takes instruction from the club executive what to say and if to say anything at all..How many of these club delegates ever speak at a board meeting. 25% max i would say.
That’s the theory anywayThe delegate is representing the club and as such takes instruction from the club executive what to say and if to say anything at all..
That’s why some of the more outspoken delegates who make excellent personal contributions to the debate and are often quoted by da media are sometimes described as lose cannons types.
Years ago it was sometimes said that a club delegate job was seen as a way to get a difficult fella out of the day to day business of the club or give that job to an enthusiastic guy that couldn’t do anything else.. ??? In those days there wasn’t much democracy or debate at county meetings anyway
