If I've learned anything this year, it's to be amember of a GAA club to get tickets for cork's home hurling games (stand tickets)
But what club should I join, which club gets the biggest allocation?
I live in the western suburbs of this fair city
Not true. Stand tickets for sale publicly in the days before all matches. No sell outs anymore I’m afraid as hurling is losing ground to all other sports.
I’d advise you not to join a club just to avail of Cork tickets. You won’t get away with that for long. It’s not the Munster supporters club.

You know the club to join them. 😉

No offence kid but we are not Munster Rugby!

If you want guaranteed stand tickets bang in the middle then buy a season ticket. You might even go to the away games then too 🙄

Head into MOKS and ask for Red &Blue, He will bring you into the inner sanctum and interview you,
After a few days he will decide if your application to join The Barrs is successful or not, it would help your cause if you have a few sons who are showing potential in hurling,

Well said. I got tickets from my club for the Waterford match as was on the 21 nowhere near the centre of the field. The club Secretary was beside me so it’s not as if he gave me a shite ticket in comparison with everyone else. Too many fair weather supporters who never darken the door of a club match expect the best of tickets for Cork matches.

Bang on.
The only people guaranteed halfway line/decent tickets are families of the players/management.

Clubs I do feel get a bit of a raw deal with allocations tho - as you said Cranky on the 21 from your club yet on ticketmaster (for some games anyway) they have better tickets for the Joe Soap.

Completely agree. It’s frustrating to go through the club to get a ticket only to find a much better one online a few days before the match. I’m also told that club secretaries must pay for tickets upfront using their own credit cards and then chase people for money for them which is ridiculous. Surely the Co Board could find some way of putting these on an account for the club.
