Oh the big bad Senior clubs are the cause of all our woes 😀

You’d swear there is no relegation from lower intermediate the way some of ye are going on. Clubs get weeded out if they are not good enough, they stay up if they are and they get promoted if they are the best team. And yer still not happy 😀
Not all, just some.

You are right, there is promotion & relegation for one team like in every other grade, but not 8/12 relegated like has been suggested, on the back of suiting some of the bigger clubs 🤷‍♂️

Which ones? And why does it, as you say, suit the bigger clubs?

You do realise some Senior club second teams are in danger of being one of those 8/12 teams being relegated? Because that’s the position their results have put them in, just like any other team.

Or is the real issue that some of the second teams have moved up the ranks and are taking the place of some poor hard working smaller clubs who are now in danger of being relegated based on their on field results?

Some people here mentioned two up, two down each year
It seems this is also now being looked at by the CCC and there may be another option where this is added to the A and B option

Last night's q and a webinar had about 170 people on it but hard to get a feel for whether A or B will be voted in

Only two spoke against any change. The said it's downgrading the status of junior. One was John Arnold bride rovers, it doesn't effect his club in any way but he loves a cut off county board and hates change. He was talking again about tradition and the foundation of the organisation. Another was delegate from a junior club

Majority felt it was actually an upgrade as divisions won't need to be run off as fast with no Munster deadline. So divisions could run group format and provide plenty games. Not trying to run off a competition in 7 weeks and having to shove in games on a Tuesday night and players working up the country under pressure to get back.
In a lot of divisions it knockout with one backdoor game so lots are only getting two games!

Anyone on it could type questions on the chat or ask to speak. To be fair to Kevin o Donovan he answered every single question asked no matter how awkward or silly, don't think that would be the case a few years ago

Thanks for the update, good to hear most clubs seem to be behind option a or b.

Not convinced 2 up 2 down in a 12 team competition is the way foward, in a regular season teams should only be promoted when they win a county

Ya that’s all well and good but it’s the relegation is the key part not the promotion. You don’t want teams hanging on just winning one game to stay up and ultimately contributing little of nothing to their championship. It doesn’t do anything to improve the standards of the division and secondly with a two up two down situation it also means the division changes a bit each year and teams are not playing the same teams year after year.
