Personally, my dislike (not sneering) attitude towards him comes from his behaviour. I don't particularly care if the victim of his assault accepted his apology, it was still violent scumbag behaviour.Mr McGregor pled guilty to the assault of Mr Keogh in a Dublin pub. Mr Keogh accepted the MMA stars apology.
The 2 allegations of sexual assault and rape did not result in any criminal charges against McGregor.
At 36 he has amassed a fortune of 200 million. Yeah hes a bit out there but most of the sneering attitude toward the guy is based on very little bar good old fashioned Irish begrudgery.
Wouldn't be my cup of tea but best of luck to the guy. Has done extraordinarily well for himself. The Mayweather fight in particular was a stroke of marketing genius.
I didn't call it into question. It just doesn't impress me in the slightest. He's a scumbag. The fact that he is a rich scumbag doesn't somehow make him admirable.Yeah and professional fighters are usually such strangers to controversy lol.
People want to call him a scumbag, or this that the other. Thats their own business.
What cannot be called into question is the guys business acumen. He took what was seen as a pretty niche sport and built up his profile to make a substantial fortune off the back of it.
Again, I never said he was a fool. I said he was a scumbag. With his subsequent bouts of boxing, forays into the drinks industry and lately motion pictures he has shown himself to be no fool.
Not unproven, he has been convicted of a number of offences. For someone who regularly tells us that only jurors and legal professionals really know what goes on in court proceedings you seem very quick to rush to judgement on the cases and unproven allegations involving Mr McGregor.
Those things are all convictions. One assault mentioned. He was convicted for breaking a bus window in the run up to an MMA fight .
Other than a string of traffic convictions I dont know of any other.
I haven't conflated anything at all. I mentioned them as the allegations are a matter of public record. You trying to conflate this with unproven accusations of rape and sexual assault is pretty low. The two cases Ive read about the Gardai didnt proceed with a case against him and neither did the U.S. police.
I never said it did.All of which have jackshit to do with what the guy has achieved professionally.
Id say give the sports forum a wide berth. You're so out of your comfort zone its actually embarrassing.
If either of them was McGonagle they’d have tapped out long agoA right ruck developing here.
And Brolly would be gone to grope a young one in a club.If either of them was McGonagle they’d have tapped out long ago
Maybe Brolly and McGonagle have more in common than Joseph would like to believe! And Brolly would be gone to grope a young one in a club.
haha
So the are conflating the (afaik) consensual hook up with a woman in a nightclub with multiple allegations of sexual assault and rape?Maybe Brolly and McGonagle have more in common than Joseph would like to believe!
I think you’re taking this thread a little too seriously! So the are conflating the (afaik) consensual hook up with a woman in a nightclub with multiple allegations of sexual assault and rape?
