Simpatico is out April 17th, and they're starting a tour.

For any London proccers, they're playing a special late night show in the Brixton Academy, until 2am.

If you've only seen them at festivals etc., don't let that get in the way, they are a bit shite live. But they are still one of the most underrated bands ever, and in smaller venues are possibly the best act I've ever seen live.

Anyway, May 5th, Brixton, £25.

I think that Guinness realised that nobody wants to listen to jazz because it's shit, so instead they now put on contemporary artists while maintaining the world famous "Cork Jazz" moniker.

last few singles were pretty mediocre but presumably they'll be doing a 'greatest hits' type of set*

All the band's thirteen studio albums have charted in the top 40 of the UK Albums Chart, three of them being number ones.

They have also had 22 top 40 singles and four top 10 entries in the UK Singles Chart, including the hits "The Only One I Know" and "One to Another".

Add on that Pillow Queens are one of the best bands in Ireland at the moment, and I think it'll be a good night.

A right mix of old indie and new indie.

I'll be there anyway. Enjoy yer weekend of trumpets and notes played out of key.
