The Action Plan for Housing.

Ok, I have a memory of a woman being killed there alright in the mid 80s and of people being very shook up over it, for some reason I thought it was a female cyclist.
I could be wrong about the cyclist part. I just remember it happening at a very busy time in town and the whole city centre being traumatised.

It must have been witnessed by a lot of people. Years earlier I think there was a youngster killed on Summerhill South by a truck. That was before my time.

Guy on the News at I now from Savills who have just done a housing review and trying to get a context on housing in Ireland.

They say that Ireland's housing crisis is way out of line with the other countries surveyed, including US, UK, Canada, Australia, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Germany

We have an average 3.8 population increase per new house built!!!!

As well as some immigrants we've a larger percentage of Births outstripping Deaths compared to others in Europe.

In terms of housing availability we are focked under the stewarrdship of FFG! And it would be even worse if it wasn't for the Central Bank mortgage housing control
