The Action Plan for Housing.

When I was younger the South Link was all a green area.
Now it's full of cars, lots of traffic accidents and can be a commuting hell.
Should we not build anymore roads as there's always a knock on effect?
Tell that to the NIMBYS and the politicians who will crunch the numbers and judge what way local opinion is blowing
and come down on that side of the fence, Despite demanding more and more housing be built,

We need more people living in city centres in flats above business premises, yeah, what could possibly go wrong? 🤔

They moved into an apartment over a popular and busy noisy city centre bar?

What did they expect exactly?

A night's sleep perhaps?

Nobody should be expected to live over a pub with music blaring till late every night, so either the noise is better controlled or we throw our hat at the idea of city centre living.

There's no excuse to be playing Whitney Houston at any time of the day tbh.

sone noise isolation would probably be the way to go, triple glazing on the windows, some cork board plastered over on the walls, hang some tapestries of Michael Collins on the wall, and you'll sleep away grand.

We've had a housing crisis since 2016.
Will Australia still have a housing crisis in 2032?
They could well do, but our biggest issue is labour capacity which will progressively get better over the next 10 years. That said, we need to ramp up before the Ukraine war (hopefully) ends, as the reconstruction projects will be gigantic, in terms of labour and materials.
