Tahiti is beautiful but expensive. Only visited Papeete and the local marinas. The water is outstanding. Puts the river Lee to shame. Get a black pearl. Stunning country. Best seen via boat I think. Moorea is another beauty just a short ferry ride away. Some nice trekking over there. Bora Bora is another flight away. Have a few mates live up there. Not sure if its a place you could happily live on 5 quid a day. These guys are great if you need any help. www.yestahiti.com
