What are your favourite types of food and drink whilst it's warm (as it has been)?

My new favourite salad is chicory and avocado with a french dressing, so refreshing. Then fajitas and kebabs done on the BBQ (veggie of course), and fruit from the market and greek yoghurt/honey.

To drink, Coors light and lime/blackcurrant for a change

For the ice cream version
300g chopped strawberries
250ml cream
juice of one orange
100g caster sugar.
enough fresh ground black pepper so that you can see flecks of it through the mixture.

whizz them together, pour into a plastic carton and freeze.


For the frozen yogurt version
300g strawberries
250ml plain yogurt - i use glenisk fat free natural yogurt
juice of one orange
tablespoon of honey.
enough fresh ground black pepper so that you can see flecks of it through the mixture.

Again, whizz them together, pour into a plastic carton and freeze.
