Drunken nonsense isn't a health hazard though. Annoying to cranky non drinkers yes maybe, but not a health issue.

How many crimes are committed under the influence of drink though. Assaults murders and rapes are all too common now.
Add to that the devastating impact drink has on families and the cost to our health services.

Smokers

We have ye out of buildings, but why should anyone walking on a footpath or waiting at a bus stop have to inhale and smell your manky stinking smog? It’s unbelievably selfish

Smoking should be illegal in all public places, if it has to be tolerated at all then make pens or some sort of contained thing that these lads can go and stand in and puff at each other

Banning it in enclosed spaces is fine but banning it in the open air is going too far imo.
Outdoors smoke disappears almost immediately. I agree that at bus stops smokers should move away from other people if they want to light up. Walking on a footpath you can encounter all types of unpleasant smells. I'm a smoker but I'm very courteous to people in my immediate vicinity and leave space if I want to light up. Smoking is permitted sitting outside bars in Spain but I never let my smoke drift to tables where non-smokers are seated.
Courtesy and tolerance are all that's needed. Unfortunately, intolerance towards smokers can be over the top at times. I should also add that some smokers are extremely discourteous.
