I agree with all of that, however Hezbollah really overestimated their capabilities and now the ordinary Lebanese person is paying a very heavy price, for them playing with their lives.

Hezbollah has absolutely goaded Israel, but that does not mean Israel should now be bombing innocent Lebanese people out of their homes because they have decided they will root Hezbollah out. Any response has to be proportional and deliberate. What losses and damage has Hezbollah inflicted on israel in real terms? Almost none, their defence system is incredible and is taking care of the vast majority of what is being lobbed at them. The people lying dead in the streets and without homes have nothing to do with Hezbollah, the Israelis know this and couldn't give a shit.

1 in 5 Lebanese people are now out of their homes and thousands dead so that war mongering cunt can play the strong man and save his political career, and possibly jail.

Israel has a deadly air force which neither Hamas or Hezbollah possesses. Combine that with the amount of traitors inside both Hezbollah and Hamas, providing high level intelligence to the Israelis, means Israel can inflict serious damage, without barely breaking a sweet. You don't think Hamas and Hezbollah wouldn't do the same if they had similar capabilities?

Who would wipe them out? I agree that Israel are committing genocide in Gaza and it's also now probably their goal in the Lebanon. However, when it comes to war, Hamas, Hezbollah end Iran will end up the losers in combat with the IDF.

Hezbollah and Lebanese people is not the same thing GM. Its neither here nor there what they would do if they had the capability

Israel has the military might, airforce, and missiles, and the backing and intel from the US - they should be using them judiciously if they are to use them at all.. not targeting innocent Lebanese people who have done absolutely nothing wrong other than live near a person Israel has decided they want rid of. Israel also has a missile defence system which virtually ensures they will suffer almost no hits.. destroying a second country is not a proportional or reasonable response to what they have had inflicted on them by Hezbollah

Who would wipe them out? I agree that Israel are committing genocide in Gaza and it's also now probably their goal in the Lebanon. However, when it comes to war, Hamas, Hezbollah end Iran will end up the losers in combat with the IDF.

Oh they'll definitely lose, and more tensions will be raised by what they're doing now in the Lebanon. The beast of Gaza must have his revenge but is in no mood to accept a deal that would return the hostages to their families. It's on the table, with hamas accepting no role in a two state solution. He's as bad as Hitler and those supporting him are just extending his bloodlust.

I'm not defending Israel, far from it HonkY. However, pick a fight with Israel and their MO is to destroy an entire people and land. Both Hamas and Hezbollah knew that a long time ago. The treachery at the highest levels of Hamas and Hezbollah speaks volumes imho.

2 things GM

Hezbollah and Hamas are not the same so no reason to refer to both as a pair. Hamas and Palestine is an entirely different situation to Hezbollah and Lebanon.

Israels MO might be to obliterate anyone who picks a fight with them, but there are any amount of international conventions and rules that they are actively breaking without a second thought - what is the point in even bothering with these things if there are no consequences for breaking them? Point being that Israel should not be able to respond as the do, but politics and money and all that
