But there is a leap in "logic" for you to claim someone was a rapist. Where exactly is there a leap in logic to say that the chaining shut of fire-exits - something deliberately engineered into a building for the specific role of allowing exit from a fire should one take hold in a venue - which prevented the victims from exiting, caused the injuries and maiming

Hundreds of children are injured and maimed
And all just because the fire exits were chained.

You might argue that it was both the fire taking hold AND the fire-exits being shut but that is minutae on a point of Law. Legally it may have been correct, but under natural justice it wasn't. And it has been shown to be unjust at long last. That song is now being broadcast on RTE.

He will travel late this evening to Dromcollogher to listen to relatives of the 49 people who died in the cinema fire in 1926.
He will present his findings to the Dail and demand that the new toiseagh Simon Harris issue an apologhy on behalf of the state.

Somebody pointed out on radio yesterday that successive governments failed the families and certain politicians
in particular are been blamed more than others , Michael D Higgins was a minister for some of these years and seems to be getting a free pass,
It seems he is immune from criticism .

There is a long list of politicians who left the families down, Successive governments did so, But as somebody pointed out Higgins was part
of the government after 1981, And what did he do to help? His reputation as a socialist and man of the people should not exonerate him,

I think it fair to say that the families of those involved know a hell of a lot more about who was contacted, who made promises, who let them down, repeatedly in many cases, than everyone (you and I included) on here jimmy.

If the families of those directly involved are willing to give Higgins a relative pass on it, and zone in and name others who let them down repeatedly I think it wisest to take their word for it. Rather than try indulge in whataboutery in the hope of spreading some of the blame away from members of one particular party or other. Don't you?

How that owner fella Butterly never served a day in jail is beyond me. And to make it worse even though the whole place was torn down after the fire, the front facade was kept and today is called Butterly Business park with the name advertised on that front facade. Its like he is taunting the families and getting off on it.
