Andor was amazing, and a good few people I know just won't watch it because they hated Boba Fett, Ahsoka and S2 of The Mandalorian.

I didn't watch Boba Fett or Ahsoka. I kinda skimmed through the Mandalorian stuff.

The three new movies were complete ass. I didn't even bother with the last one, fast forwarded through a lot of it. Don't think I missed out.

Id say Trek Movies 1,2,4 and 6 are better than any of the Star Wars movies.

I don't think Boba Fett was as bad as most others seem to, but I couldn't recommend it either. Essentially, there was no need for it. They should have just kept him as a recurring part of The Mandalorian. They could have done with him in that third season, which was crap. I'm guessing he'll be in The Mandalorian movie.

Obi Wan was shite, I didn't bother with Ahsoka and won't be watching the new show either. At this stage, pretty much anything with a lightsaber in it holds no interest for me.

Had a conversation with someone a while back who couldn't get over that I thought The Wrath Of Khan is a better sequel than The Empire Strikes Back. The latter is great in many ways, but the script is atrocious.

The Search For Spock is back in the cinema today, for the 40th anniversary. It's in Mahon Point for a week I think.

Discovery is total shit, I wouldn’t even class it as Trek. It shares none of the qualities or standard of writing of the previous series. Enterprise was patchy but it was light years ahead of that focus group rubbish.

First Contact is the only good TNG film.

Lol I forgot about Obi Wan, total snoozefest.

Id completely given up on that universe but tbf Andor is terrific. Mostly coz they stayed well away from the force, jedis etc.

Id have Khan well ahead of Empire. The original SW trilogy were for kids which people seem to have forgotten through nostalgia.

Im a big fan of the Voyage Home. Its got a lightness of touch the SW universe never managed.

The Undiscovered Country is an excellent film, its got it all a prison break, federation conspiracy, Klingon space battles. First Contact is decent but nothing with the TNG cast came close to Kirk and co. imo.


The new Trek is almost complete garbage. S3 of Picard was better but its hard to forgive how Gofawful S1&S2 were.

Also love The Voyage Home. It was the first Star Trek movie a saw as a small child when it came out on video. When Nimoy pitched it to the head of Paramount, the studio head loved the story so much that he said he'd green light it even if it wasn't a Star Trek movie. When I was passing through Monterey years ago, I visited the Aquarium that was used in the movie.

The Undiscovered Country is class. Heard its good in 4k. Must get that. Recently watched The Motion Picture in 4k and it looked fantastic.

First Contact is fine. A decent action movie, but none of the TNG movies lived up to the show. I think the third season of Picard is better than all 4 of them.

I'm annoyed with myself for watching 3 seasons of Discovery before giving up. I should have stopped when Jason Isaacs was killed off. He was the only good thing about it.
I never bothered much with Enterprise or Voyager. Couldn't warm to the characters.

Would've been a bad episode, nevermind a film. How it got greenlit only Q knows.
