SQL Support Engineer – Cork based.
GlobeTech is an expanding software development organisation, with a head office based in Cork, ROI. The company has a global client base which includes Ireland, The UK and Middle East. After the acquisition of several significant contracts, GlobeTech is seeking an SQL Support Engineer to join their growing team. Working as part of the support team you will be expected to liaise with both technical and non-technical customers to deliver and outstanding level of service.
Responsibilities include:
• Resolving escalated customer technical issues
• Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.
• Participation in providing training to customers as required.
The diversity of clients you will be working with offers a varied and challenging environment, using cutting edge technologies.
Key skills:
Commercial experience administering and maintaining SQL Server 2000 / 2005 / 2008
Knowledge of Windows desktop and server 2003 onwards
Exposure to SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 / 2008
Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP and other networking concepts
Excellent communication skills.
Advantageous
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports
• Familiar with Windows Mobile Devises
