Thinking of changing my car.

No interest in a new car so looking for 2010/2011.

Has to be a small car as we don't have sufficient parking space for anything bigger than, lets say, a corsa.

Have a corsa at the moment and like it, or at least I did until some fucker bashed the back of it in!. I have had two corsas in a row now though so considering a change.

Tell me of your experiences with micras, lupos, minis, c3s etc please.

Would prefer a diesel engine is poss.

You need a diesel? Unless you're driving is on the motorway there's no point, especially as small cars have low tax anyway.

Polos are expensive for what they are, Fabia can be had with a 1.2 turbo that would actually be a good shout, the Jazz is good but expensive and rare enough. A decent spec fiesta 1.25 82ps is what I would look at first.
