Gould refused permission to speak in Dáil about arrest

Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy has turned down a request from Sinn Féin TD Thomas Gould to speak in the Dáil about his recent arrest regarding alleged financial irregularities at a Cork company which he used to work for.

An offer of €15 was made to another homeowner even though the loss of frozen food due to the electricity outage was estimated at €200.

There is also anecdotal evidence of people aged in their 80s who could not use electrically powered medical equipment for 12 days being told they were not eligible for a payment.”

Yes and our premiums will rise because of an estimated 250M insurance bill for Storm Eoyin.

Though what that has to do with Government grandstanding and promising during the crisis that people would be compensated by the state is a bit of a puzzler
