Shellac New Album

Story by: Jessica Suarez
Chicago's Shellac, headed by engineer and curmudgeon Steve Albini, will release a new full-length called Excellent Italian Greyhound on Touch And Go sometime in the new year. The band hasn't released anything since 2000's 1000 Hurts (Touch And Go). The trio, which started in 1992, has released three albums and curated the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in 2002. The title 1000 Hurts refers to drummer Todd Trainer's pet Italian Greyhound, which, we're guessing, is most excellent.

shellac are apparently playing all tomorrows parties on the may 18-20th weekend in 2007, word around the atp campfires this weekend suggests a possible gig or gigs in ireland around the same time - huzzah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Jim, you were at this years, I've never been?, whats it like?, this years line up was excellent, was meant to be going to the Vincent GAllo curated one but friends pulled out at the last minute, how does it rate and wheneverythings done and dusted, about how much does it set you back?
