I've just come across a term that describes the tactic of certain posters on here, past and present, you try and enlighten them with your hard won wisdom which you have gained on the battlefield of life and they waste your time in asking endless questions to try and trip you up and make you look like you are really not that wise after all.

These people have little to offer themselves and are just jealous of your fine mind and can't help themselves. Sad people.

Anyway, the term is sealioning.

I was just reading a book review there where the reviewer feels the need to tell the reader that they are "a queer, non-binary person", just review the book ffs.
