Actually that's not the argument that your banned colleague made, which was the actual question. Fail.
You have a 12 year old's sense of European history. NATO is not some plot to conquer Russia. (For example, have you noticed any wars between France and Germany since 1945, whereas there were three major wars in the 85 years prior to that? Much of that is because of NATO). The rest of your whataboutism simply tells us what it always does. You are trying to claim some sort of moral high ground by saying that if the West can engage in unjustifiable military activity, so can Russia.
Putin oversees a backward economy kept afloat by his dictatorship and the constant stoking of an imaginary threat from outside. A modern country would take its economic resources and use it to build a modern economy to take its place in the world. Maybe you can tell him the next time you see him.
So, you know, I've been around the block a few times and have served my wartime duties on foot. You see, NATO, yeah, that big alliance thingy, it's not what it seems. In short, it’s a secret plan to take over Russia.
So, like, NATO keeps expanding, right? Getting bigger and bigger, creeping closer to Russia's borders. And why would they do that if they weren't planning something fishy? It's like they're surrounding Russia, boxing it in, making it feel all paranoid and stuff. And then they say it's for defense? Yeah, right!
And have you seen all those military exercises near Russia? Troops, tanks, planes, you name it. It's like they're preparing for something big, something they're not telling us. And those missile defense systems? Don't get me started. They're not just for defense; they're for offense, too. Sneaky, huh?
Oh, and remember those times NATO went into other countries, like Kosovo and Libya? They just waltzed in, like they owned the place, messing things up and causing chaos. It's all part of their grand scheme, I tell ya. They wanna weaken Russia, make it easier to take over. It's all so clear to me now.
So, yeah, NATO might look all friendly on the surface, but deep down, it's a wolf in sheep's clothing, ready to pounce on poor old Russia. Don’t be fooled by the western fiends.
