If I was in Versatile, a dissing from the Irish Times and Seamus O'Reilly is exactly what I'd be hoping for.

When I saw their stuff online initially I didn't pay them much attention, but I have to say on further viewing (I think I was drawn back to it because the production is top class), the satire is impressive.

It's strikes a delicate balance whereby lots of people don't pick up on it and take them at face value, but if you look a lot of their stuff and pay attention to the lyrics it's clear they're taking the piss.

I dont know anything about Versatile. If the kids love them and the Irish Times find them 'problematic' then they're OK in my book.

They do their own videos apparently. That K song has pretty high production values and is firmly fellas taking the piss.

They are very poor live but that YouTube video for ketamine taken as a whole is one of the better pieces of independent media to come out of Ireland in recent memory. In the midst of the current moralising woke youth media scene Versatile are a genuine breath of fresh air
