I was listening to Matt Cooper earlier, he had a couple of female journo commentators on to discuss the referendum results. The No lady was first, pointed out that women in Ireland didn’t need this nonsense, and if anything felt disenfranchised by the proposed change.

Next on was the Yes lady who explained that it wasn’t actually a resounding rejection of the proposal because we shouldn’t really consider the no votes as no’s, but that they just weren’t comfortable with voting yes

Coopers lost his balls over the last few years since Trump got elected and his head spins when hes brought up onthe show, always have these perpetually offended types whining about lack of diversity on tv shows cough Roe McDermott (whose brother is a pervo) ,,, i bet he grilled the No lady and let the Yes one sprout shit unchallenged

Matt carty on newstalk fully accepted SF called it wrong and the party has to accept that, He was asked why SF didnt make any effort to campaign? He said well it was a govt referendum so it wasnt up to us to campaign.
By that logic if british SOS calls a BP and our govt call a 26 county referendum SF wont campaign because its a govt referendum.

Jaysus but the FF support here aren't taking the utter annihilation of their government referendum very well at all.

And it's emerging that more and more of their Oireachtas members though they canvassed for a YES vote actually voted NO

Boy the people of Ireland will breathe a huge sigh of relief now knowing that Micheal Martin accepts the will of the people and is "comfortable with their decision"
