Watched Heat last night, 9/10.

What's the consensus on Life of Pi?
I've read the book, enjoyed it. The trailers look good but I can't see it working as a movie.

Yeah the trailers make me think it would be worth going just for the 3D aspect alone.

Speaking of cartoons, the special effects on the new die hard 5 trailer look beyond awful. BRING BACK MINIATURES! Looked real because it was real.

it's okay. some great visuals. i read the book though, and half the greatness of the book is the way he writes and the essays on philosophy of religion and zoology which is hard to translate to film.

the cgi tiger was pretty awesome.
