One of the greatest films ever "As Good As It Gets" is on one of the Sky channels this evening.

I'm always alert when it's on because we get to see Helen Hunt in her wet T-Shirt.

Except for being glaringly historically inaccurate.
Tbh I think I stopped after about 10 mins of the Rasputin 'character'.
Funnily enough I enjoyed the other movies in the franchise but this one totally jumped the shark

Platoon has aged terribly.

I don't think its aged particularly well.

There was a spate of Nam movies off the back of it. None of them have held up particularly well .Yes war is hell, loss of American innocence, blah , blah.

I rewatched it a few years ago and was surprised at how poor it was from my previously recollection of the film.


Full metal jacket is streets ahead of it and has held up incredibly well. Its just as watchable now as when it was released.

Kubrick was a genius, Stone has made an awful lot of crap.
