The girl was brilliant in it but the plot, cgi, cameos, villains, and so on, were all shit

Feel the above is very harsh. Loved the original and felt they got the tone spot on as a tie in. 8/10 my end. Really enjoyed it. Different strokes and all

I thought it was ruined when it went all "Ghostbusters" - the first half was a great 80s-style kids movie a la the Goonies, Lost Boys, etc, then it went full retard as soon as the baddies appeared.

What I mean is that it would have been a better movie if they didn't use the ghostbusters gimmick.

It should have gone down a stranger things/super 8 route.
