Thunderbolts 2/10

Run of the mill Marvel affair about government created depression that a rag tag group of z list hero's must battle in the mind of the new lab grown villain Bob.

If they just stopped creating all these beings in labs or with serums the world would be a much safer place.

Marvel have written themselves into a corner here by creating a near invincible being that has only been beaten by a world ending Hulk or maybe Thor on a good day.

I said it before and I'll say it again, the Marvel universe ended with Endgame

Havoc
Tom Hardy 2/10

Utter crap imho. I like action and detective/ cop films but this was toilet. Pump-action shotguns with 27 rounds. Pistols and assault rifles firing innumerable shots too.
Plot is paper thin 😔
Watched about 20 minutes of this and wondered was I just in bad form or something but this is complete rubbish. I'm a big Tom Hardy fan (would they ever make Taboo 2 ffs) but even he is shite in this.

Ballerina 6/10

Ana de Armas plays a Sherman Tank hell bent on getting revenge for the murder of her father.

Based in the John Wick world and set side by side with his first(?) outing, it has all the visual style and kinetic action scenes that are now synonymous with the franchise.

And you know what, it wasn't shit. I mean it suffers from all the same tropes and plot holes of the men's version but Ana has the agility of a younger actress to pull off the action sequences compared to Reeves plank like movement and bullet proof jacket. The action is inventive, varied and has genuine ah come on moments that left a smile on my face. There's of course guns knives axes but it's when the grenades and flame throwers come out things really heat up.

And course it wouldn't be a Wick movie without a guest appearance from himself.

It's lucky Ana is good looking though because, like Gadot, she has the acting range of a 12mm osb board.

Excellent viewing for a Saturday night.

The Goonies (1985)

Watched it with the kids. They bloody loved it.

The Fratellis are low key the best baddies in kids movies ever. Menacing but slapstick and comedic at the same time.

They drop plenty of S bomb so my eldest fella thought he was watching some kind of body horror at the start

Movie Magic.
