Pubs that are no more in Cork

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the Gaiety Bar was a previous name of Dan Lowry's.
I only found out recently Dan Lowry, who they named the bar after, was a music hall pioneer entrepreneur type in the late 19th century. he opened the Cork Palace of Varieties which became the Everyman, and the Empire Palace in Dublin which became the Olympia..

And literally dozens more across Britain.

The fella Gareth Malone who does all the Choir singing shows on the Beeb found out he was related to Dan in "who do you think you are",

Also i think its Gas that they have a beermat collection framed in the Back of Dan Lowys featuring none other than Tom Humphries. I presume someone thought a collection of old beer mats would be a nice nostalgia kick for a place rather than an homage to a convicted Paedophile but I suppose that's the chance you take.
