I live in St Charles, about 35 miles west of Chicago (where I was born). I retired as an executive for a major insurance company. But then I took a full time night job. The job is rather active, which was the point, since I have been watching my friends die or become crippled with bad joints/health for about ten years after they retired. (I’m pretty old). I work nights out of choice for various other reasons as well. You live in Lake Charles apparently and you have stated you worked in Corporate and now you work nights.
Alright that’s fine no problem.
You use the word wingnut a lot.
Right now it’s 7.20 am in Cork and it’s 12 O0 am in Illinois and you are on a Cork forum.
You must work very hard or just love Cork.
I love Cork also so we can agree on this and let’s see what happens in the next few months.
I personally don’t think it’s election over and nothing we have seen in the debate will change much on how the base actually votes.
Biden did alright in North Carolina and Trump was just the same as any rally in Virginia.
4 months of the 2 worst candidates in history is just a nightmare for anyone
I am in charge here at night, so it is easy for me to sneak away and post on PrOC from time to time. It seems to me that many of you post in the morning there, so if I want to start a conversation, morning your time is the best time to post.
Most of my family emigrated from Cork before WW1. I was actually taught to hate Cork from childhood by my Cork born grandmother who had had a terrible time there. But my late brother, who was rich at a certain point, suggested one morning that we hop a plane and check Cork out (in 1986). I found that I liked Ireland. But he loved it and married a Cork girl. She has a huge family. He and she had kids and now I have grand nieces there. I’ve been to Cork maybe ten or more times since then.
What part of the States did you live in?
