I'd say County Board would agree to play every Munster game there if approached. Rumours that the Stephen's Day Munster-Leinster game be played there going forward but lot of opposition from Limerick.

I believe FAI also have an edict in place that if say Manyoo, Liverpool or Barca agreed to play a game in Ireland, that it be played in Landsdowne Rd!

There isn't a whole load of sporting events that would justify being played in PUC.

Maybe they could get a College American Football game played there??

Think that's what's on the table at the moment. Kingspan Breffni Park has been widely adopted. FBD Semple Stadium however gets very little traction.

In Cork Pairc Ui Chaoimh will always be known as The Park, I've never once heard anyone in Cork refer to it as PUC.

It could have predated PUC as the racecourse was known as The Cork Park Racecourse

I've absolutely no issue with the name change but I do think that Super Valu Park sounds ridiculous. It sounds like an amusement fair or something

I was only half listening to the radio when it broke first and my initial thought was they were opening a rival to Tayto Park.
