One Cork publican told me that PJ came in one day for a pint and fish and chips, and he was a "miserable old bollox' lol

He must have caught PJ on a bad day as tbf he is a total gentleman.

The Great man confirmed same this morning. Good that he is well enough to go galivanting off to Belfast for a pre Christmas long weekend (and not even a bank holiday)!!

I'd say the coffers of South County and other Douglas hostelries were a bit lighter this Monday morning!!

He brought good news too re Cork airport - new flights this summer to Greece and Croatia. Zadar in Croatia well worth a visit.
Missed a trick though by not asking his guest about re-instatement of flights to Turkey. Travel agent telling me a few months back that lot of Corkonians and others from this side of country still head there but have to travel via Dumpland or travel via UK or Europe from Cork.

Yep if you want to go to Turkey ?? you need to fly from Dublin. Dropped and collected a few people to aircoach recently heading off there .
