Just to add further, the above unfinished st finbarrs bears a resemblance to the cathedral of St. John the divine in Harlem, New York (also not completed)

Same here. The amount of work and sometimes hundreds of years goes into them

Check out Ulm Minster in Germany and Liverpool Anglican cathedral, one of the tallest and largest cathedrals in the world respectively.

Looks a lot more “low church” style here rather than the gothic “high church” we see today.

Very ornate and those rose windows are so decorative, a lot of those Anglican cathedrals are very close interior wise to Catholic ones.

At a guess '97, 98? Scaffolding down the right hand side suggest the finishing of sand blasting the facade before refurbishment announcement for existing stores across Ireland.

Cork store was done first.
